Executive Team

Harold Gubnitsky Chairman and CEO

Harold has a 35+ year track record of building, scaling and strategically growing companies within the cleantech and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) sector. He has also collaborated with global Fortune 1000 companies to develop and execute on their respective ESG strategies. In addition, Harold brings experience working with the investment community including private equity and venture capital. Harold provides strategy and executive leadership to the company leveraging his experience as a chief executive, strategist, and investor. After graduating from Florida State University with degrees in business and computer science leading to the start of his career at Andersen Consulting/Accenture.

John McMorris Vice President of Technology

John co-founded his first Climate Change company in 2002 (serving as COO/President & taking it public on the LSE in 2005). This firm became the second largest global carbon project developer in its time. John went on to serve as the Sr. VP of Regulatory Affairs and COO of several other carbon offset companies globally, ultimately undertaking over 1200 projects in the Americas, EU, Asia, SE Asia, and New Zealand. John architected several regulatory ‘firsts’ in projects/PDDs. He managed two US Government Climate Change Cooperative Research & Development Agreements: one with DOE, one with USDA. He was a contributing author to Globe Law & Publishing’s 2008 book “Climate Change: A Guide to Carbon Law and Practice.” John holds a BS/Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (concentrations in math, biomedical engineering, & electrical engineering).

Shayne A. Reeb Chief Information Officer

Shayne A. Reeb has 30 years of experience as an architect of software and technology solutions. He has held Chief Information and Chief Technology positions in carbon offset development and alternate fuel companies for the past 22 years. Shayne developed two patents, as well as a methodology and software solution for the carbon offset industry, focusing on forest carbon sequestration and methane avoidance. His technology solutions have been utilized by over a thousand carbon offset projects producing tens of millions of carbon offset credits. Shayne has also architected software and hardware solutions for two alternative fuel companies to create biofuel, carbon offset credits, and renewable credits. His earlier experience includes leading as an architect, manager, and developer of various solutions across several industry sectors. Shayne earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Purdue University.

Jack Prather VP of Business Development

Jack Prather has 30 years plus of experience in building and training sales teams and building businesses. He started his business career as a trader focusing on the energy markets and grains. Jack later founded Energy Management & Consultants and worked in conjunction with several top companies including Hunt oil, Schlumberger, JPMorgan and Credit Suisse in the funding of oil exploration projects, large-scale salt-water disposal wells and oil and gas assets in upstream and midstream categories. Jack brings a deep-rooted knowledge of sales, operations and funding to the team. Jack attended Georgia State University majoring in Finance.

Brad Upham VP of Operations

Brad is an entrepreneur and business consultant with over 15 years of experience in the areas of business development, finance, and management. In 2013 he founded Rock Willow Energy, LLC to provide specialty heating fuels for the European market. Prior to Rock Willow Energy, Brad helped launch Ecologic Solutions, a company providing environmentally preferable cleaning supplies for businesses and TLJ Gourmet Foods LLC, a wholesale prepared food product company serving retail supermarkets. Additionally, Brad worked in the telecommunications and PR fields at Cable & Wireless and APCO Worldwide. Brad is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a BA in Russian History from the University of Chicago and an MBA from George Washington University.

Kurt Kaiser VP of Corporate Development

Kurt brings 30 years of entrepreneurial and management experience in various industries including real estate development, technology, and commodities trading. Kurt started his career as a clerk on the floor of New York Stock exchange. He soon branched off into real estate by buying and selling properties and formed Kaiser Development. Kurt expanded the company from a small New York residential developer into a large-scale commercial developer across several states. Kurt also invested in several technology start-ups and worked closely with these companies to scale and commercialize their solutions. Kurt later formed Ikon Energy for the purpose of trading petroleum and energy related products. Kurt attended the University of Miami and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
